Carl Peterson is perhaps solely responsible for the
popularity that The
Kansas City Chiefs enjoy today. Before Peterson was hired, the
attendance at
Arrowhead Stadium was dismal, and there was more interest in
The Kansas City Comets than in the Kansas City Chiefs.
Arrowhead consistantly had more empty seats than full until Carl
Peterson turned the Chiefs around both on the field and off.
Under Carl Peterson's
leadership, The Kansas City Chiefs were the winningest
team in the NFL in the 90's, going to the playoffs 4 times and winning
their only playoff game since the 1800's in 1994. Carl went on to
greener pastures when Clark Hunt took over, and Peterson went on to be
the Chairman of USA Football, which governs the rules and regulations of
the NFL and the NFL Players Association.
