Donald Washington came into the NFL as almost a complete
unknown until he attended the 2009 NFL Combine and set records with a 45
inch verticle jump and a 135 inch broad jump. NFL coaches quickly
put him on their "to do" list and he was drafted in the 4th round of the 2009
NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Donald Washington has played both cornerback and safety with the Chiefs
and has played in 20 games (two starts) recording 27 tackles (16 solo),
1 forced fumble and 13 special teams stops. Donald Washington is
currently listed as the Chiefs second string strong safety behind
starter Jon
McGraw.
