^{Dustin Colquitt was drafted by the
Kansas
City Chiefs in the 3rd round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Often
referred to as "The Chiefs Most Valuable Player", mostly due to a
combination of the extremely poor play of The Kansas City Chiefs and
Dustin Colquitt's ability to keep the team's head above water when they
are forced to punt the ball. Colquitt has a unique punting style
which puts an odd spin on the football when it is in the air, making it
difficult for the return man to catch the ball. Dustin is also
left footed giving him an edge in the creativity department over boring
right handed/footed people and he is able to make incredible punts
because he is a lefty. Being left handed / footed also means that
you are more intelligent than right handed / footed people so that plays
a role as well. Dustin comes from a large family of NFL punters
including his father, Craig Colquitt, who won two super bowl rings with
the Pittsburgh Steelers, his brother Britton Colquitt who punts for the
Denver Broncos, and also his uncle Jimmy who punted with the Tennessee
Titans.}

In 2013, The Kansas City Chiefs gave Dustin Colquitt his dream contract - a five year, $18 million dollar contract to stay and punt in Kansas City for the rest of his career.
